This light is honestly surprising. It’s so much nicer than the photo makes it seem online. The glass is super thick and much better quality than glass shades from the cheap box store. This may or may not matter to you as once you hang it you generally can’t tell however, as I’ve learned the hard way, the some doesn’t feel very secure nor does it hang perfectly straight when the glass is thin and cheap. This one is perfect. Doesn’t have that pesky film like most glass fixtures either so it sparkles. Worth noting, the color of the metal down rod is actually the perfect neutral. Like a metallic grey, it looks great with brass, nickel and chrome finishes, black and bronze. It’s really pretty and I’m not sure what to call it but it’s really none of the major finishes. I originally thought this light might be too rustic or farmhouse like for me, as my style is more modern, but it’s actually very transitional and looks great amongst modern decor.
