This bed is just as I had hoped...beautiful. It makes such statement in my bedroom. When we originally put the box spring in the bed, it was way too high. It's the perfect hight once removed. The only negative is that it has slats underneath instead of a solid piece of wood. Since we are not using a box spring, we started noticing our mattress sagging.
