I honestly was super excited about this light fixture online, but in person I was a bit underwhelmed. The shades are not white as shown in the stock photo- more of an ivory. The unit itself seems kind of cheap and we had to bend the arms of it a bit to make it look straight. For a more casual dining space, I think this would be ok. I’m not sure if it’s worth the cost.. This is a beautiful chandelier! One note is that the two bottom gold metal rims kept falling off while we were installing it and caused a hit on the head but once we tightened the tabs up (sort of like on the back of a picture frame) they’ve stayed put. This looks very luxurious in our sitting room. Another note is that the vertical lines are not metal, they’re sort of a twine material but I actually loved it more that way. Also, be aware that bc of the lines when you turn the light on, it looks like there’s a bunch of lines on your walls. Based on the description and photographs, I expected the shades to be white, but they are really ivory (almost beige) color. Because the shades were not white (or even off white), I had to change some of the other decor in my dining room. It is also difficult to get the shades to stay level and the whole chandelier to stay level.
