This is a beautiful chandelier and exactly the transitional style I wanted. It was larger than I expected but once installed it fit the space perfectly. I honestly was super excited about this light fixture online, but in person I was a bit underwhelmed. The shades are not white as shown in the stock photo- more of an ivory. The unit itself seems kind of cheap and we had to bend the arms of it a bit to make it look straight. For a more casual dining space, I think this would be ok. I’m not sure if it’s worth the cost.. Based on the description and photographs, I expected the shades to be white, but they are really ivory (almost beige) color. Because the shades were not white (or even off white), I had to change some of the other decor in my dining room. It is also difficult to get the shades to stay level and the whole chandelier to stay level. The shades are glass and do not sit super snugly, so I needed to have help stabilizing the chandelier while hanging to prevent one from falling and breaking.
