I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this island. I did contract to have it assembled so I cannot a test to the ease or difficulties to assemble. However,I can say that the gentleman assembling the island made several comments on the quality. I have purchased a very large cutting board that will remain on the island to avoid any unnecessary damage to the stainless steel.We have downsized into a condo and I felt I needed a bit more prep space and this is perfect.
