Softer than I ever could have imagined. With the brown leather couch it makes the entire room so warm!! We just recently moved into a new house and our old rug had been through it. It was time for an upgrade. It feels like I’m gliding through clouds and teddy bears every time I walk on it. I got the 5x7’6 and it is good for a small living room. My Doberman has, at a year and 7 months, managed to destroy 2 previous rugs in my entryway (no where else in the house, and not from potty training). He has become well behaved and less destructive as of lately; but, I don’t dare yet purchase a rug that is too expensive to be easily replaced.
